#Development of two plots at Langer See with a mixed use of restaurants, offices and residential space

By reversing the master plan layout of the upper floors, all dwelling units are optimised in terms of their arrangement and lakeside orientation.

A new district is being developed on the banks of Langer See on both sides of the harp bridge as the centre point of the former airfield Böblingen/Sindelfingen. The two plots 35 and 36 are positioned along the lakeside promenade on both sides of the square Brückenplatz. Two U-shaped blocks with planted courtyards are each set upon a two-storey plinth, which accommodates catering facilities on the ground floor and offices above. The large-format fully glazed facades of the residential levels face south to the lake, projecting out above the promenade. A modular facade system wraps the two complexes in a homogenous coat, which makes the plinth and courtyard buildings appear as a single urban structure when seen from afar. At the same time, the interplay of setback glass and metal facade elements, two-storey segments, open corners and alternating loggias and balconies leads to a varied appearance, which takes account of the different building functions.

Due to the arrangement of the upper floors, each apartment is oriented towards the lake.
