Visions of a sustainable built world

Keynote speech by Gerhard Wittfeld on “Visions of a sustainable built world” at the Road to Green Summit on March 6, 2024 at the University of Cologne.

In his presentation, Gerd Wittfeld will focus on the three mega-themes: Circularity, Using What Exists and Re-Use.

Participants of the conference are pioneers and decision-makers from the construction & real estate sector, science & research, tech & venture capital, as well as institutions & associations.

As part of the summit, keynotes, impulses, panels and interactive workshops will be used to develop an insight & results paper on dealing with the existing building stock and the decarbonization of the building sector, and a final agreement of the participants of the joint “Road to Green – Transformation of Existing Buildings” will be recorded.

Rethinking. Implement

Rethinking. Implement

Presentation by Jasna Moritz at the seminar “Sustainable planning and building” – Regulatory requirements and solutions for sustainability calculation and circularity on February 1, 2024 at the Schüco Showroom in Frankfurt am Main.

One of the major challenges of our time is achieving climate neutrality in the building sector. The construction industry has the task of meeting the ambitious targets set by politicians and reducing the CO2 emissions generated during the construction, operation and demolition of buildings to zero. However, managing this process and thus complying with complex regulations and certifications is difficult to reconcile with the situation of those involved in construction. For investors and project developers as well as for planning and architecture firms, it is becoming increasingly challenging to navigate the multitude of requirements and specifications.

In addition to Jasna Moritz, kadawittfeldarchitektur, Dr. Peter Mösle, EPEA GmbH and Drees & Sommer SE, Dr. Kati Herzog, Goldbeck GmbH and Thomas Schlenker, Schüco International KG, will talk about their experiences and show examples of best practice. This will be followed by a panel discussion with all speakers.

Further information can be found on the event website.
